What is Capoeira?
An Afro-Brazilian Martial Art
Before we had terms like Combatives or MMA, we had Capoeira as our established form of Street Defense.
It is said that the African people of Brazil created this martial art in the 16th century when they disguised combative training as games of dance and folklore.

Why train Capoeira?
We have the privilege of practicing an art that was once entirely illegal.
From the 1600s until 1940, you could have been fined, imprisoned, dismembered, or worse for practicing this beautiful art.
Capoeira forges an UNPARALLELED level of athleticism, awareness, and physical ability. Nowadays, it is safe and great for kids, seniors, and everything in between.
